As We Wait Upon the Lord

Our church worship team was having a worship time prior to a rehearsal and this spontaneous song emerged, with the words “They that wait upon the Lord will renew their strength, they will mount up with wings as an eagle.” I rushed home straight after the worship time and recorded what I could remember of the words and melody line. As I continued over the next week to spend time in God’s presence the rest of the song came into formation.

I believe that the Lord is wanting us to fix our eyes on Him in these days, to have a fresh revelation of who He is, to rise above our storm and to see from His perspective. He also wants us to to decree from that place of revelation into our circumstances, taking the authority that He is given us, and learning to live from Heaven to Earth. It is not escapism, it is learning to access and live from the heavenly realm, where we are seated with Christ.

It is a journey, so why not ask Him to help you take another step in that journey today.

I pray that in this time of stress and uncertainty you will be refreshed, strengthened and renewed.
